Apr 19 2012 – Daily Protection Regime

I've always been a mascara and lipstick kind of girl but of late, my skin's been dry and doesn’t have that supple feel that it used to. It used to look as great as hers does!

Yes, I’ve been ignoring the fact that pollution, stress and the environment might be acting against me so I think it’s about time I decided to wake up and re-hydrate!

So my hunt began, one moisturiser after the next, and I was still unable to find my suitor!

Not to mention my dressing table was beginning to throw a bit of a fuss and demanded that there just wasn’t enough space for yet another cream that I believed would save my skin from its misery.

Down in the dumps, I listened to my mum rant on about how I should have listened to her and taken my vitamins all along.

That’s when it hit me. Vitamins were exactly what I needed!

A little bit of research and a trip to The Body Shop had me ecstatic. Could I have really come across my miracle moisturiser?

Nestled in my hands was an entire range of The Body Shop's vitamin E range. The vitamin E is sourced from nature and includes wheatgerm oil, extracted from wheat kernels, as it's one of the richest natural sources of vitamin E.

Ridding my dressing table of its misery, I displayed nothing but my shiny new range of baby pink bottles.

Ever since I’ve started, here’s what my beauty regime has been like. Feel free to do the same, I can guarantee it feels great!

Step 1: Vitamin E Cream Cleanser (200 m) – SGD 21.90

I have to start and end my day with this cleanser. It makes me feel super radiant!

What it does: The Vitamin E Cream cleanser contains one of the richest sources of natural Vitamin E, wheat germ oil, which helps to hydrate and protect skin from moisture loss.

The light and creamy cleanser gently lifts dirt and impurities leaving skin soft and smooth and protects the skin from harmful environmental damage such as pollution and cigarette smoke. (Yup, perfect for both before and after bed)

How to use: Dampen a piece of cotton wool with Vitamin E Cream Cleanser and wipe it gently upwards and outwards without dragging your skin.

Step 2: Vitamin E Hydrating Toner (200 ml) – SGD 22.90

Toner is now something I simply can’t live without.

What is does: The alcohol-free toner is perfect for all skin-types to remove tracers of cleanser, dirt and make-up without drying the skin, leaving it feeling soft, supple and refreshed.

How to use: Dampen a piece of cotton wool with Vitamin E Hydrating Toner and wipe it gently upwards and outwards without dragging your skin.

Step 3: Vitamin E Eye Cream (15 ml) – SGD 28.90

I hate it when people tell me about how tired I look. Haven’t heard that once since I’ve been using this!

What it does: Reduces the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. It leaves the skin around the eye area soft and hydrated.

How to use: Dab a few dots of Vitamin E Eye cream around the upper and lower contours of the eye and gently pat in using your fourth finger. Press your eyelid gently with both of your fourth fingers and increase pressure gradually for 3 seconds. Release and repeat 3 times.

Step 4: Drops of Youth (30ml) – SGD 58.90

What it does: Use Drops of Youth as a daily supplement to your skin care regime. It really makes you look a whole lot younger! More than one person has told me this is their new miracle formula!

How to use: Simply massage a few drops into skin before applying vitamin e moisture serum to help give skin a moisture surge and enhance the skin renewal process for smoother, fresher and healthier looking skin

Step 5: Vitamin E Moisture Serum (30 ml) – SGD 36.90

Premature aging is no myth. This serum will make sure it doesn’t happen to you.

What it does: It smoothes and refines your skin as well as protects it from harmful environmental elements.

How to use: Apply the Vitamin E Moisture Serum on the face and neck before moisturise.

Step 6: Vitamin E Moisture Cream (50 ml) – SGD 29.90

This is my favourite out of them all!

What it does: The day cream is so popular that one is sold every 16 seconds, The moisture cream is easily absorbed and has the lightness of a lotion with the moisturising benefits of a cream.

How to use: Using your fingertips, apply to the face and neck after cleansing and toning.

COMMUNITY FAIR TRADE: When you purchase the products from the vitamin e range, you are also helping out Capanema farmers in Brazil. The Vitamin E-rich soya oil are extracted from Community Fair Trade soya beans grown by the farmers who not only receive a fair wage and regular income, the premium on top of the price of the soya oil goes to rural development fund. The Body Shop's fair trade has helped communities establish a sustainable livelihood, developing their skills to gain access to other markets and customers.

So there you have it! I’ve revealed my tricks that are helping me bring back my lustre! The only other tip I have is sleep. Ample beauty sleep will help sustain good skin texture and with the right amount of water, you’re on your way to being simply gorgeous!
